What Mercy Johnson says about the missing girls

The star actress writes on the missing Chibok girls. Find her article below...
Sometimes, our realities remind us of the pain of others. My reality as a mother is that I get to see my daughter every day, while the reality of the mothers of the kidnapped 234 Chibok girls is that they don’t even know where their daughters are.
I looked at my daughter and tears came to my eyes that some mothers have the privileges of seeing their kids on a daily basis while the mothers of the kidnapped girls can only console themselves with memories.

Barca title hopes dashed by Getafe

Barcelona’s slim hopes of retaining their La Liga title were all but ended after they were held 2-2 at home by struggling Getafe on Saturday.

EPL: Agony for Fulham and Cardiff City as they suffer relegation from the English premier league

Fulham and Cardiff City were both relegated from the Premier League on Saturday after losing their penultimate games of the season.

Fulham slipped into the Championship after 13 years in the top flight after losing 4-1 at Stoke City, while Cardiff City’s 3-0 defeat at Newcastle United saw them relegated a year after securing promotion.

Sunderland’s 1-0 victory at Manchester United condemned both clubs to relegation.

Gus Poyet’s Sunderland side are now four points above Fulham and five points clear of bottom club Cardiff. Third-bottom Norwich City, who trail Sunderland by three points, visit Chelsea on Sunday.

Arsenal secure Champions League football for a 17th consecutive season

Arsene Wenger's side will finish the season in the top four after Everton's defeat against Manchester City left the Toffees four points adrift with one game of their season left.

Arsenal have secured Champions League football for a 17th consecutive season after Everton’s defeat against Manchester City ensured Arsene Wenger’s side will finish the season no lower than fourth in the Premier League table.

Two goals from Edin Dzeko and another from Sergio Aguero ensured a 3-2 victory for Manuel Pellegrini’s men to help cement their status as title favourites – victories in their final two matches against Aston Villa and West Ham will secure second Premier League crown in three seasons.

Arsenal harboured ambitions of challenging City for the title this season and led the table at the turn of the year before a series of damaging losses against the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool killed off their title challenge.

Defeat against Everton at Goodison Park last month put Arsenal’s proud record of consecutive years in the Champions League at great risk but Wenger’s side have responded with three straight wins, while Roberto Martinez’s men have suffered costly defeats against Southampton, Crystal Palace and Manchester City.

Arsenal will now head into their final two games of the season against West Bromwich Albion and Norwich knowing their top four status is secure and can concentrate fully on their FA Cup final preparations – the Gunners take on Hull City at Wembley on May 17 hoping to end a nine-year wait for a trophy.

My ‘Sambisa’ Tale – Chibok Girl

It was going to be like a normal night

It was going to be a chat with my fellow girls until I give-in to sleep

It was going to be a night with Amina, Fatima and Hauwa

Just a normal night… just after I said my little prayer

A night when the moon couldn’t whisper to my innocent heart like every other night

A night when my dreams will be engulfed by the darkest night

Have my innocent heart committed a crime to chase that dream?

If achieving my goals through education is forbidden, would an early marriage be acceptable?

Hollywood actor James Franco exposes pubic hair in instagram pic

He's only 36 but he seems to be having some kind of mid-life crisis. First was his recent scandal involving a 17 year old girl who he tried to pick up online, and since then James Franco has been looking for more attention on social media by tweeting pics that many feel are inappropriate.

Last night he posted his most shocking pic yet, which shows him standing in front of a mirror in his bathroom in just his boxer briefs with his hand down his pants and pubic hair showing. He deleted it an hour later after serious backlash from fans who questioned his sanity. This is what B-list & reality stars do, not a bonafide Hollywood A-list actor.

P-Square's publicist releases statement, says he never said it was all a publicity stunt

Yesterday P-Square's publicity Bayo Adetu was quoted as saying the fight between the brothers was all a publicity stunt, and that they all decided to play along. Well, after the backlash from fans, Mr Adetu has backtracked and claims he never made those comments. A statement he released below.
My attention has been drawn to one magazine interview quoting me that the purported P-Square break-up tale was a ‘publicity stunt.’ It was indeed a misconception on the part of the writer. I never said the rumour was a ‘publicity stunt.’
There is no way I could have granted an official interview and speak in such denigrating manner as being portrayed by the magazine in question.
I can remember talking to Star FM and NTA2, and it is on record that I never spoke in such unprofessional manner! Most importantly, I never said it was a ‘publicity stunt’ because that amounts to toying with the emotions of P-Square fans. I cherish the fans more than Diamond and therefore, I will never disrespect or toy with their emotions. Thanks for your understanding.

A 14yr old girl kills another 14yr old girl after Facebook fight over a boy

14 year old Endia Martin (pictured above) was killed on Monday April 28th by another 14 year old girl after they argued on Facebook about a boy. Is this what 14 year olds should be doing? Fighting over boys and killing each other? My goodness!

According to Chicago Times, the handgun used to kill Endia Martin had been brought to the scene by someone who knew the suspect and knew 'there was going to be a fight' Chicago police said
"What would have been, under any other circumstance, probably a fistfight between 14-year-old girls, because they were fighting over a boy, turned into a murder. You introduce a firearm and you have a murder." The police said
Endia was walking home from school when the other girl approached, pulled the gun and opened fire around 4:30 p.m on Monday in West Garfield Boulevard, Chicago, according to police. Endia was hit in the back and killed instantly.

The 14 year old girl has been charged as a juvenile with murder, while her 24-year-old uncle and a 17-year-old boy are also facing charges. The two are being held for giving the gun to the killer
